Donation & Refund Policy
Mentor A Promise, Inc. ("Mentor A Promise," "MAP," "we," "our," or "us") is a nonprofit organization that relies on charitable contributions to support our mission of providing mentorship, educational support, social-emotional learning, and related services to children and youth experiencing housing instability. We are deeply grateful for every donation.
1Charitable Contributions
All donations made to Mentor A Promise are voluntary charitable contributions intended to support our programs, operations, and mission.
Unless explicitly stated, donations are made without the expectation of goods or services in return.
2Tax-Deductibility
Mentor A Promise, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
- Donors are responsible for consulting their tax advisors regarding deductibility.
- Donation receipts are provided for recordkeeping purposes only.
3Payment Processing
We use secure third-party payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal, or similar providers) to process donations.
Mentor A Promise does not store full credit card or bank account information on our servers.
4Recurring Donations
If you choose to make a recurring donation:
- Your payment method will be charged automatically at the selected interval.
- You may cancel or modify recurring donations at any time by contacting us.
- Changes may take a reasonable processing period to take effect.
5Refund Policy
Because donations are immediately used to support our programs and operations, donations are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that errors can occur.
Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate transactions
- Incorrect donation amounts entered in error
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions
6How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us and include:
- Donor name
- Donation date
- Donation amount
- Reason for the request
