Any behavior that threatens the safety or wellbeing of a child or youth is strictly prohibited.

Because some programs occur online, Mentor A Promise promotes safe digital practices. These may include:

- Limiting personal contact outside approved channels
- Promoting respectful and appropriate communication
- Encouraging parents/guardians to remain informed and involved
